Official Statement – WKS
World Karate-Do Shotokan (WKS) recognizes and values the Dan rank and the experience of each practitioner committed to true Shotokan Karate.
Our bylaws establish representation of only one organization per country, without any interference with other affiliations or institutional ties that practitioners may hold.
The WKS's fundamental principles are discipline, respect, commitment, responsibility, and honor, preserving the tradition of the Shotokan style and the memory of Master Gichin Funakoshi and his disciples.
All legitimate lineages of the Shotokan style are accepted into our organization.
Therefore, we invite those who maintain integrity, dignity, and honor to join the WKS, contributing to the unity and strengthening of the true spirit of Shotokan Karate worldwide.

World Karate-Do Shotokan (WKS) reconoce y valora el rango Dan y la experiencia de cada practicante comprometido con el auténtico Karate Shotokan.
Nuestros estatutos establecen la representación de una sola organización por país, sin interferencia alguna con otras afiliaciones o vínculos institucionales que puedan tener los practicantes.
Los principios fundamentales de la WKS son la disciplina, el respeto, el compromiso, la responsabilidad y el honor, preservando la tradición del estilo Shotokan y la memoria del Maestro Gichin Funakoshi y sus discípulos.
Todos los linajes legítimos del estilo Shotokan son aceptados en nuestra organización.
